Mandela Parkway Median Planting Plans
Created planting plans for four intersections of Mandela Parkway in Oakland, in collaboration with Friends of Mandela Parkway. The goals of the project was to beautify the intersections with native pollinator plants that are both visually cohesive and maintain sightlines to protect the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers, while providing crucial habitat and food sources for local pollinator species including birds, butterflies, and bees.
The plans were approved and implemented, thanks to Friends of Mandela Parkway and the City of Oakland.
